Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has greeted people in the state on the occasion of World Food Safety Day (June 7). Chief Minister Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao has urged people in the State to protect environment on the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5). The CM said the existing Corona pandemic situation had once again proved that there was no other wealth as precious as the environment protection. He said the sordid situation of people desperately seeking pure air to save their lives could be overcome only through the protection of environment.

The CM said that Telangana state government, which realized that there was no wealth other than protecting the environment, had initiated several measures and action plans to hand over a healthy environment to the future generations. He said there was ban imposed on the cheap quality of plastics usage and programmes like Haritha Haram aimed at increasing the green cover are implemented.  Several programmes implemented to increase the standards of environment in rural and urban areas were also helping to develop the environment. 

They also won acclaim at the national levels. Through Irrigation and drinking water projects, pure water is supplied for irrigation and drinking water purposes. He said through several schemes the production of vegetables, milk, meat, food grains increased and people in the state are getting nutritious food. The diversion of river waters for the irrigation projects had also providing green cover and a balanced environment. The CM wanted people in the State to become partners in protecting the environment and also the Green Telangana State with biodiversity.

Sri CH. Mallareddy, Hon’ble Minister for Labour & Employment and   Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary held  a meeting with officials of Labour department  on  the welfare of migrant workers working  in the state at BRKR Bhavan. The department officials were directed  to prepare an action plan for collecting data from all Industries , such as Pharmaceutical, Textiles, Rice mils, Construction etc..  to envisage  a policy in the state for extending the benefits like providing ration cards,  health care, education, skill development training programs  to  the migrant workers.  Chief Secretary directed the officials to coordinate with concerned departments duly appointing a nodal officer and to take up  special drive to collect data within 10 days. Smt. Rani Kumudini, Spl. CS, LEF&T, Sri Jayesh Ranjan, Prl. Secretary, ITE&C, Sri Arvind Kumar, Prl. Secretary, MA&UD, Sri Ahmed Nadeem, Secretary, Labour and other officials were present in the meeting.


Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has paid rich tributes to Telangana Armed Struggle leader and a true democrat Ravi Narayan Reddy on his birth anniversary. The CM recalled that Ravi Narayan Reddy besides building armed movement for the liberation of Telangana also demonstrated his immense faith in the parliamentary democracy, which is laudable. “Ravi Narayan Reddy was a great democrat who withdrew the armed struggle when the country attained independence,” the CM said. 

The CM said Ravi Narayan Reddy in the first general elections in the country won with the highest majority and set a record. The CM said the Telangana Armed struggle leader had shown that if people’s movements are to be successful, the action programme should be made in tune with the existing circumstances. The spirit of people’s movement as practiced by Ravi Narayana Reddy was very much an integral part of the separate Telangana movement that we all waged, the CM said.

Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS today visited the ZP High School Shamshabad and inspected the vaccination special drive for high exposure groups.  He said that the twelve categories of persons were identified for taking up vaccination under the special drive as per the directions of the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao. Special drive for high exposure categories such as kirana shop workers, street vendors, saloon workers is being taken up from today across all the municipalities in the state.  An app has been developed by the municipal department for registering these workers.  Those who receive a message on the mobile are only allowed to be vaccinated and no walk ins are allowed.  Chief Secretary congratulated the municipal officials for making elaborate arrangements for conducting the special vaccination drive.MLA Sri Prakash Goud, CDMA Sri Sathyanarayana and other officials were present.
