Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan On Telangana State formation day

Hon'ble Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan message on the occasion of  TELANGANA STATE FORMATION DAY  -I extend my heartiest wishes to all the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day on June 2nd.After a six-decade long historic struggle by all sections of the people, the State of Telangana was formed on June 2nd in 2014 as the 29th State of our country.

Telangana State Formation Day 2021

The formation of the Telangana State has fulfilled the aspirations of the people, who waged relentless agitations and umpteen sacrifices, to realize the long cherished goal of having their own State to prosper and to protect and promote their own unique identify. I am delighted to note that the youngest State of the country has made rapid strides in heralding a new dawn by ushering in a series of welfare and development initiatives.

Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS  complimented the metro rail officials for providing good service by maintaining safety protocols in the metro station during Covid times.  Chief Secretary today travelled in a metro from Khairathabad station to Ameerpet to oversee the safety arrangements put in place at the metro stations.  He was accompanied by HMRL MD Sri N V S Reddy, L&T HMRL MD Sri K V B Reddy and other officials.

During the travel Chief Secretary interacted with the passengers and enquired about the metro services and safety measures.  The commuters appreciated the facilities and safety arrangements in the metro stations.  They requested the Chief Secretary to extend the timings so that they can reach their destinations comfortably after the closure of their offices and business establishments.

Chief Secretary directed to extend the services by another hour.  Accordingly the last train in each direction will now leave the terminal station at 1pm instead of 11.45 am and reach the destination stations at 2pm from Tuesday.  There is however no change in the starting time and the first train will start from the terminal stations at 7am.

The Telangana’s initiatives in irrigation, agriculture, IT, Pharmaceutical, and health sectors, welfare and developmental activities in different spheres are helping the State emerge as a torch bearer in many sectors. I wish that with the collective and committed efforts of all the sections of the people and the government the State will soon be transformed as the “Bangaru Telangana.” I am confident that with the inspired resilience of people, government, and the administration at all levels, soon we shall overcome this COVID-19 pandemic crisis. I once again wish you all a very happy Telangana State Formation Day. I appeal to you all to celebrate the day in strict compliance to the COVID-19 preventive measures.
